The frame incorporates a hybrid front half composite monocoque coupled with a rear steel spaceframe. This provides the benefits of a high-stiffness, lightweight composite frame, while maintaining flexibility around our advanced powertrain.
The monocoque is constructed in-house as a single piece using a vacuum bag prepreg process and composite tooling. The frame is welded using a precision optical table to ensure accurate placement of tubes.
Using finite element software and extensive physical testing, frame structure is tailored for strength and stiffness while minimizing mass.
Tires and Suspension
The front and rear corners are comprised of independent dual a-arms coupled to an upright and hub assembly. A three piece aluminum wheel shell allows for modular testing of different tire sizes and compounds.
